There will be no campaign. It is practically confirmed, the game will come out without the campaign mode and it is most likely that in the future they will not make a separate campaign for this new battlefield.

@1986Cristina that you don't know because I send support the idea and they send it to developers and as a example I said if the support would be developers what they would think and she said is a good idea so you don't know what gonna happen
- 4 years ago@mrlukemonster Dude, they're not sending anything you say to the developers lol. Not sure what delusional world you're living in. They're too busy finishing the game.

I do understand that some people would like a single player campaign in the next Battlefield, but for me, personally, not having one is one of the best things I've heard about BF2042 so far.
I'm saying this because the single player (and co-op) campaigns have been very uninspired within this franchise - excluding maybe only the Bad Company releases, which I really see more as spinoffs rather than main title releases.
I'd much rather see them put all their effort into developing the main multiplayer game and content for it than the inclusion of a campaign.
And it's important to understand that dropping the single player campaign doesn't save them any funds if those savings are directed at the multiplayer development. Because of this - I don't see any justification to demand a lower price due to there not being a campaign.
If the lack of a single player campaign is a reason not to buy the game - then don't buy it. There are plenty of FPS games out there that focus on the campaign without even including a multiplayer component - should those games be cheaper because of it?
