Obviously 2042 aims to steal CoD and Apex players hence the gameplay feels like on constant 1.35x speed. Feels even faster to me than BFV.
Squadplay is so bad with randoms bcs almost no one takes medic/ammo bags, so when you out of Rockets/C5s against vehicles, you can just kill yourself and redeploy, rockets feels weak anyway.
Specialists is the laziest thing they could do, no classes means the worse teamwork than any previous game, no different team design so It wont ruin monetization of upcoming "cool" specialists.
I am not talking about bugs, glitches and performance issues, I am talking about gameplay that feels too arcady to me, just spawn mf, run mf, shoot and die mf.
Got back to play BF4 and BF1 and it is day and night compared to 2042.
Canceled my preorder and will wait for reviews first and probably a big sale in a month after the release (if they dont delay it). I have high hopes that game will flop like bf5.
I played BFV today the gun play and recoil is way better!
Funny to see how people compares polished Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 2042 Beta that isn't even an actual build. Why don't you compare BF4 Beta and BF2042 Beta. I perfectly remember how BF4 Beta was and it wasn't better than BF2042 Beta.

The Beta Bf4 was not a better. I rememer too many bugs and crashing and also after full release.
Chopper gameplay is way better in BF4 that is for sure.
I actually enjoyed the Beta. It was nice playing in a game where there are destructible environments and teamwork. I played with a family member, and we had a blast. It surprises me to see so many people saying BF4 was the greatest, but if I recall, when BF4 was out, people constantly complained about that game. In my opinion, BF2 was the best game. Since that time, I have enjoyed every BF game that has been released. While I am not a massive fan of the gameplay speed, It is not a breaking point for me. COD has never been my cup of tea and never will be. If you're canceling your pre-order because the Beta, one map, and small series of weapons, wasn't everything you desired in a 20-year marriage, then oh well, you'll never be happy. I was never a fan of DICE going to the dark side with EA, but I am still a loyal battlefield fan and will enjoy this version of the game as well.
@RootagatorWhen it came to destruction bad company 2 was the game. You could bring down entire buildings. For a game that came out in 2010 it was quite impressive and without all the bugs the new games of today are riddled with. BF3 was really cool with the introduction of battlelog but there was a lot of bugs in the beginning. Once those issues were fixed I had a great time playing that game. BF4 same issue at launch but it took a good 6 months to iron out the issues but most people just kept on playing BF3 while BF4 was getting fixed.
The problem with 2042 is there's just so many missing components. There's no battlelog, currently no void, and basically a non existing scoreboard. Playing with friends is a challenge whenever you can't join a game. I thought BF4 was the worse launch but EA has out done themselves with 2042.
