@alucardgr all we true BF fans need are reskin and improve of BF4.@NiCeDiCe90, BF3 is really better in map (level) design, but BF4 is improvement of all the rest. It has tons of content (customization, modes, servers presets, even commander mode) and has everything BF player needs.

They should've just looked at BF4 post launch and thought to themselves "Hey, let's make a more refined version of that! I think that's what the fans have been asking for!"But no, they had to rush development, add hero-type specialists, notch down the destruction capabilities, remove basic features of an FPS (leaning, scoreboards, incoming medics). I'm fully aware one of those things are in the patch notes for after Thanksgiving, but why has it become standard to release an unfinished game, DICE? Or EA? Please listen to community feedback, but furthermore, and much more important to your game's and studio's success, keep consistent communication and open up playtests sooner so we can provide constructive feedback before you're too deep in development for features to change for the better! Take some notes on the indie development scene. At the least they are clear when a game is in early access, and sometimes their games are in EA for quite some time before even a beta is announced. Why hasn't anyone taken this approach at DICE? Why are we getting a "beta" a month before a delayed launch? Week long early access, literally a week before official launch? What the hell is this? I have followed this franchise for quite some time, and I love the games DICE has produced when done well, even with the launch issues having been there from the past. But everything I just said, and every piece of criticism coming from fans this time around needs to be not only taken into consideration but actually utilized in the future, for the development team's sake and the people who'd like to keep buying your games.At this point I have no logical reason to believe this franchise will comeback from these mistakes they've made over and over again. It's time to prove your worth to the community and your stakeholders. When you have your biggest competitor, Call of Duty, doing some things arguably better than your studio has been known for, that should be a huge red flag for future of the studio. Get it together DICE, please. I say all of this because I want nothing more than for this franchise to succeed where it's succeeded in the past and make efforts to bring new people in. Just stop dropping the games identity for the sake of trend chasing. We can see it, it's abundantly clear and unfavorable for those who've stuck around this long. I wish you luck in your improvements as a studio.

I hopped on yesterday to see how the servers were doing, what a surprise to see so many full servers on PC. I joined a lobby and played a full match. By the end, I realized just how much 2042 is not BF. I mean it's not even the same identity anymore. BF2042 should have been a totally new IP all together, it's not BF. No matter what the fix in the game, its core is and will always be rotten.

Whilst I am not defending some of the design decisions or exonerating DICE over some of the bugs and issues etc but.....I think it is rediculous to compare games that have completed their life cycle in terms of DLC and extra content, had umpteen patches to fix bugs and glitches with a game that has only been out for 2 weeks!

Battlefield 4 still the best unfortunately

@alucardgrIdk I loved BF3 and BF4 and I thought BF1 was pretty damn good, amazing looking maps, the immersion and sound was off the charts, and it was what I expect a action packed WW1 game to be like.

But DICE were WAY way off with BFV compared to BF1, and now they're so far off going in the wrong direction that they've jumped off a cliff whether they live or survive this fall is up to them, but they should not be getting praise for 2042.
They even took out a campaign completely and this is the best that they could do? There's no excuse for the state 2042 is in, and that "BuH CoViD HapPeN!?" other devs and games have shown that's no excuse and have put out perfectly fine and polished games, people are just continuing to use it as an excuse for problems with their games and that horse is long dead.

@TankerFlanker Agreed. BF 1 immersion was epic. The sound alone. Crazy good. But i didnt enjoy playing it as much for some reason. I never liked any gun. BF V worked better for me. I love them both. Different ideas but both were still a BF game.

BF1 was epic. The Italian alps map was just beautiful. Make a good META augmented reality window view.

@ujpkyd932pz9 In my opinion they started all bad desicions since bf1. From elite classes lack of Battlelog and not fun vehicles( repairing from in the vehicles) etc etc
