Vehicles need a higher Skill-Gap, & Maps should have "War Torn" elements added to them
Vehicle Suggestions
Helicopters, Tanks, and Jets were perfectly done when it comes to mechanics in "Battlefield 4". It makes the players have to learn how to maneuverer and control the vehicle which involves skill. However, the vehicle mechanics in Battlefield 2042 are far too "Dumbed-Down", which makes them far too overpowered and less satisfying to use. I would suggest that you bring back "Legacy Flight Mechanics", so Helicopter & Jet rocket spam isn't so apparent. The Jets are also extremely floaty & unpredictable. They are almost impossible to maneuverer, and they get shot down very easily, since their is no restrictions on classes.
Map Suggestions
Every single map, except orbital seems to be lacking detail and cover. I excepted Hourglass to be a close-quarters urban map, but instead we received a barren desert map with little to no detail. Here are my thoughts on how to improve some of the maps.
Hourglass
-Set the map permanently at night. The map looks drastically better with the lighting effects on the buildings.
-Expand the dense urban area farther the map, which would replace most of the desert sands.
-Move the stadium to the center of the map. Which would be a great place for close quarters infantry combat.
-Place more abandoned cars on the roads.
-Have the stadium parking lot act as a place for vehicle combat. Add destroyed cars, sandbags, and large, sandy craters into the pavement.
Manifest
-Shorten the map size. Add some height to the map by adding beached cargo ships, and destroyed cranes.
-Map looks far too clean. Scatter destroyed containers and garbage across the open areas to create cover across objectives.
-This should be an infantry focused map, less vehicles would be ideal.
Discarded
-Have the map centered around a large, beached cargo vessel. (Linear Map Styling)
-Add objectives within abandoned cargo ship, with a heavy focus of CQB. Make some hallways without lights, which would force players to use flashlights.
-Have part of the map flooded. Incorporate transport boats, that would let players cruise around the outskirts of the map.
-If possible, add a nuclear levolution event, which would blow up the cargo ship, scattering rubble around it, which would create cover around the center objective.
-An amphibious landing would be very cool for breakthrough. Utilize the carrier from portal, and make the players use MAV's, RHIB's, and Choppers to storm the vessel.
