@Straatford87-Which maps presently provide a poor opening experience because of the location of the Base Spawn?
All of them, all maps need base spawn to be mostly covered or being able to defend in some manner (mountains, forest, being far away like in a carrier, airbase, base out of enemy reach, etc), also bases should have a Phalanx defense system like BF3 or BF4
-Which maps are making it harder to get back into the fight in an all cap scenario?
All of them, there aren't enough transport vehicles, BF3 and BF4 had motorbikes, quads, boats, jeeps, etc, enough for almost all players, follow that games, stop reinventing what it worked in the past
-How do you feel about the current balance between Infantry and Vehicles in Breakthrough?
Balance is so bad in all gamemodes (conquest too) not because vehicles are OP, the problem is the lack of cover, paths for infantry, and lak of flanking for infantry to vehicles.
Do not nerf vehicles, modify all maps so infantry have covers or zones only available to inafantry, take a look to Grand Bazaar in BF4, central area was only accessible by infantry, also as infantry you could flank vehicles to destroy them.
Remove specialists or integrate them better into standart classes (BF3 and BF4 style) so an engineer can use Launcher and mines at the same time so they can fight better against vehicles
-Have you played 64 player Breakthrough, and do you feel that this is the better way to experience the mode?
Better optimized but it doesn't solve the big main problem that is the lack of cover, and flank options for infantry due to the maps having very big open areas and empty
-On which maps and Flags do you see the most immediate need for more line of sight blockers?
All of them, you will have to rework every map, base spawn and control points. IE in Kaleidoskope you should put one of the team base spawn on a carrier far away
-Do you have specific areas on maps that currently stand out to you as lacking cover?
All of them, redo ALL MAPS, also make them feel there is a war on them, not pristine clean map in which people seem have banished 5 minutes ago, take a look to Siege of Shangai in BF4, there are things burning, debris, destroyed infraestructures, IT FEELS LIKE THERE IS A CONFLICT.
-Do you have thoughts on how we can better define traveling paths between objectives to keep combat focused?
Copy BF3 patterns in terms of map design (Back to Karkand DLC maps were awesome even better than in BF4 version), they are even better than BF4 but BF4 has very good maps too
-Do you see improvement opportunities to make it easier to understand how to get from one objective to the next?
Add non armored transport vechiles (motorbikes, quad, jeeps, etc...) in bases and in control points (you control one point then you get transport vechicle spawn)
Notes:
1- disable vehicle calls or give vechiles only based on points as BFV reinforcements worked.
2- Add destruction and microdestruction to infraestructures, actually is a joke
3- Merge specialists in the old class system, ie, boris and Irish are engineers, restrict launchers and repair tool to them, also add a default engineer who can have 2 engineer gadgets (the one used by AI).
Do exactly the same with the other specialists, treat them as special class soldiers with their special gadget and another one of their class and allow default class soldier to have two gadgets of their class.
Also restrict some weapons to some classes (and specialists as they would be in a class) like in BF4
You could even make money selling skins for the default class soldiers, without breaking any of your promisses, having specialists and being completely legal, it's simple and you will earn more money.
4- Add more recoil to weapons (NOT spread, RECOIL) and rework attachements (having duplicated attachments doing the same and same is nonsense, copy WARZONE's approach to attachments)
5- Add more gadgets (BF4 has plenty of them for infantry and vechiles, copy ALL of them)
6- Add more vehicle types
7- Vehicle spawn should be like BF4 to avoid unbalance in maps, I mean, fixed vehicles, (ie. 2 nightbirds, 1 apache, 4 tanks, 1 bolte, 2 wildcats) also they should be point selection like in BF4, copy exaclty BF4
8- Land vechicles should have options to combat air vechicles (tanks should have more gadgets like guided misiles/rounds, Trophy system, lock on disruptors, etc)
9- Air vechiles need more cover too (mountais, buildings, forests, etc...)
