My vision of what BF2042 maps need:
-DISCARDED: The map is beautiful,but it lacks a lot more cover,like more large metal structures,containers and ships placed between flag and flag,or better yet,add another large ship between E and D,or 2 smaller ships,leaving a corridor away from each other and connected by stairs and metal structures placed at different heights.in those areas helicopters and vehicles would have very difficult access and infantry fights would occur.
The flag of B,is too open,the small hut should be replaced by a 2 storey L-shaped or rectangular building or ship,with some tunnel like in the Zavod map of BF4.Or two ships connected to each other.
-BREAKAWAY
: This map has incredible power, but it has not been squeezed as it should, and that is simply adding a flag based on an ice cave, with digging machinery inside and several access corridors, even a tunnel that goes through the whole flag to give vehicles possibilities.
The flag of D,raise the glaciers and in the centre,add a small oil rig like the one in B,but on a small scale,or an extraction shaft with lots of stairs next to it and where you can stand underneath,that has 2 levels and you can hide from helicopters and fight with infantry,even add a small pre-assembled metal building next to it as well.
The C flag is too exposed, and should be more closed, add more containers, raise the height of the glaciers and thus not give so much visual advantage from the eexterior, especially from the ramp down from F to C.
The A3 sector is the same, too open at the top, the tanks should be joined together more, and communicated between them with metal structures to have two levels, the top and the bottom where the infantry could have more level fighting and in better conditions.
The E flag is lifeless, as it is too isolated, it should be relocated much closer, just that would be enough.
-KALEIDOSCOPE: Not only do we need to reduce the distance between flags a bit, but we need to add a lot more cover, it's too flat.
-HOURGLASS:
The flag of B needs more coverage, for example more containers and more metal structures. The current corridor should be wider and covered.
Sector A is too far from C, the distance should be reduced, the same happens with flag E.
The B and D flag needs the houses to be two-story and thus have more coverage.
The E2 flag is too exposed, and it would be necessary to put a roof that unites the two buildings.
The reduction of the distance between the flag would be very little, but necessary.
-ORBITAL:
An elegant solution for the flag of B, would be to add spotlights on the top, located on the ground and when lighting upwards, they remove some visibility from aerial vehicles.
The E flag is too far away, that road track to it is too long, or shortened, or in the middle of that stretch, add some cover in the form of another platform under construction.
Flag C1, a building with walkways would have to be added, just above the tunnel, thus avoiding the excessive use of snipers in that area, and at the same time there would be no field of vision for that flag, unless the enemies stand right above it of the building. It would make the C1 flag more attractive and balanced.
The C2 flag needs more piping areas just above the sea shore, and so the helicopters would have to fly lower or much higher. Currently the lower area of C1 is too exposed.
-MANIFEST:
The sectors of A and E should have more containers, and the existing ones, that several of them are open and thus create more corridors through those areas.
Sector B should get a little closer and not be so high, it's very tedious to go up there.
-RENEWAL:
The flag E, is a little far from D, you have to reduce the distance a little.
Flag B should have more containers and metal structures like the current corridor, it should be longer and somewhat more closed.
Add covers between C and A, as well as between D and C.
