Okey so, regarding the blog post, all the things you talked about there, its true and how to fix the issues, i have no idea, i'm not a game developer. I'll keep things short and sweet. The thing i wanted to write about is whats the most important "feature" in a Battlefield game and what makes Battlefield unique is the destruction (in my opinion), which seems to be largely missing from this game. Why is that? Due to destruction being "less important" in this game its now missing the absolutely intense moments, truth be told this Battlefield game feels less than "basic" due to the toned down destruction. What I was expecting from this Battlefield game (destruction vise) was the very first teaser you showed back in 2020. That skyscraper crashing down, now THAT looked amazing and got me so excited. My expectations were high after that teaser. Then came the launch of the game... oh man, i was beyond disappointed (not only in the destruction, but also:
1. Gun customization, i was hoping to see at least COD level of gun customization, but was expecting something like Escape from Tarkov level of gun customization 2. You treating this game like it should be more like Fortnight or COD with the weird skins, i mean a cowboy looking skin for that grapple hook guy??? WTH is that lmao?? 3. Missing legacy features 4. The audio is not traditional Battlefield quality 5.For some reason the grafiks look somewhat worse than BF1, don't get me wrong it still looks great. 6. The game is set in an interesting time period and you probably could have made an interesting singleplayer campaign 7. The maps- while they look good, they are just to big and open for my liking. It saddens me to say, but there really isn't a map i would say i like (adding destruction to all of the maps would DEFiNiTELY fix that issue). There isn't a map where i say to myself " ahhhh yeee, i like this map, this match is gonna be gooood", no interesting events (except for the orbital map where you can destroy the rocket) I personally am more of a Operation Metro (one of the best MP close quarters map ever made) damavand peak kinda guy. 8. Replacing classes for specialists. 9. Features promised not making into this game (didn't you say that a new feature for BFV was a crash landing that you even showed in the reveal trailer, that looked pretty cool and its still nowhere to be seen. Dragging feature?)
There's probably more things i forgot to mention, but i'm just glad that you are looking for feedback for the game even if the game launched almost 4 months ago now. To me Battlefield 1 is still PEAK Battlefield, with its unrivaled destruction, sound design, grafiks and atmosphere.
