First, I appreciate you taking the time to engage the community and care about our opinions. It's important to acknowledge the failed launch and try to move forward.
With that being said, I am deeply concerned after reading through all of this that you've completely missed the boat here. The current content, once ridden of bugs, is not that bad. It's pretty good, actually. I play breakthrough 128 everyday since launch. Massive revisions of current maps is NOT what this game needs. Spending so much time and resources on maps that we've already played hundreds of times is not appealing in the least bit. This game needs to move forward with new content, guns, operators, etc. Not backwards/revisionist stuff. Leave the maps alone and move forward. Do better with future content.
What this game needs, and soon, is a massive infusion of CONTENT. Maps, guns, skins, challenges, game modes, etc. Remember the old Battlefield 1 expansions that people paid for? 5 new awesome maps, new guns, new vehicles, warfare on water, new skins...it almost felt like getting a new game!...THAT is what we need here. BF 2042 content is really not that bad once all the bugs are fixed which you guys have done a pretty good job with. The issue now, as someone who plays daily, is that the content has just become so unbelievably stale. We are going into March already without a single new gun or map or ANY new content beyond some bug fixes. Yikes. This revisionist idea to go back and make huge chances and dedicate major resources to re-work old maps strikes me as a terrible, groupthink ridden decision that is not going to get the reaction you think it will.
What this game needs is continued bug fixes, and content, content, content. Games been out for almost half a year and I can't even buy a skin? Like....what? Most games have their skin store ready to go during the beta or at the latest on launch day. Is there not a team of designers or at least 1 person that is dedicated to cosmetics for 2042?? So strange.
TLDR: Fix bugs, and give us more NEW content. Do better with future maps instead of worrying so much about a few objective points on Kaleidoscope. That's small peanuts my man. Release 3 kick * maps in April + 10 new guns and throw up 20 skins on the skin store for sale and have some nice weekly quests/challenges. Do all of that and keep the bugs out and this game will be back on track, no doubt.
