Hi all, Starting today we’ll test further changes to how you earn XP and Progression while building Custom Experiences in Battlefield Portal. This test will run for one week until May 31, and during it all Custom Experiences without AI or the Rules Editor will earn Full Progression. On May 31, we'll revert back to the current system of Full, Moderate and Restricted Progression whilst we review the impact of this test on fair gameplay. We remain committed to establishing fair Progression while playing Battlefield Portal and we’ll keep you updated on further changes. @Lancelot_du_LacAbsolutely, this. I'm also in the Oceania region.Portal should not penalize for AI. If it's equal AI/Players per side, then it's equal opportunity, not EXP farming. As a host of a current BF server for 3+ years, I assure that portal is otherwise essentially useless in Oceania.Without AI, portal cannot succeed in OCE. If we mimic an official default experience it's penalized as 'UNRANKED' - ridiculous! We COULD fix BF2042 ourselves, but AI limitations make portal useless.Why offer absolute creativity freedom, and then confine it like a prison?? You're eradicating your own invention.EASY Fixes:-Full progression in equal AI / Player Matches (Simply enforce balance...)-Proper exp/minute cap alike high-end official mode scores.-No restrictions with default / buffed Hard-AI.-Remove limits - Just let people do their thing. At least they play. Most don't. You could use the player count & ratings. (Though I appreciate updates, we are hopeful...)All we've needed to enjoy BF2042 is a smaller map Infantry-Only experience starting up with AI. Why's the easiest practical fix always ignored? Our 500-player discord server awaits....(And they want to play, not spend hours in empty servers starting them - that's my role)Our region can't even partake in this trial.

@DominickB3 I second this. I made a noshar tdm server that had literally nothing changed but ai back fill. And there is absolutely no progression whatsoever on it. This is very frustrating and a slap on the mouth to people that paid for this. I can understand restricting xp. If I make custom logic to let’s say make one hp bots that spawn in one spot, have only a knife, and are scripted to just stand idly. That’s not fun or fair. But just because I want to play normally against bots I’m treated as a filthy xp farmer and second class. That’s not right at all.

@Straatford87 All well and good, but in my region (Oceania) I am lucky to find more than 2 or 3 players on popular Portal experiences, like Flashback Conquest.A couple of suggestions:- add Portal maps to AOW (or a sub-set of it)- allow some AI (limit it to 15 per side, if you like) so a game can proceed- lump a couple of regions together so there are enough players per match

@Straatford87 Enabling AI should not force Restricted XP unless HP values or AI difficulty etc were fiddled with. It sucks that ribbons are disabled if I want to run a Vanilla Portal Server with AI to fill the empty player base on the maps that I want!

@Straatford87 What's the point still of restricting xp and progression so much when AI is involved? I understand the restrictions when any of the other rules modifiers are used, but we can't even start a server that is full of AI until other people join without losing pretty much all progression.

Dice, I think it’s worth you noting that portal is the only reason why some play this game at all.
I speak for myself but I’m pretty sure I’m not alone.
Hardcore player base has been truly screwed over in recent BF games.
The fact that we have portal mode (and the ability to fashion our own hardcore games) is the ONLY reason some play this game.
I, for one, would not play this game at all if it wasn’t for portal.
My advice is you don’t give any more people a reason not to play this game.
If you start screwing people over in portal, you really will be shooting yourself in the foot, so to speak.
I can’t remember your exact slogan - “your game, your rules”, or something like that.
You’d probably do better to honour that and let us play how we want. Otherwise you’ll quickly see that people will drop your game like a stone.
In my opinion, 2042 is the last hope saloon for you. A part of you at least seems to recognize that in the way that you have recently scrambled to save your arses.
Don’t forget that your player base is your bread and butter.
unless of course you want to standby the mindset that you displayed to your fan base during your BFV media sessions. “Don’t like it, don’t buy it”, wasn’t it?
