Battlefield World Tour for Portal now requires 4 PLAYERS to start? Why?

In the past, this restriction never existed and there was no reason for the restriction to exist. I am from a region that only plays exclusively Portal servers, and at peak times, there is just 1, 12...

I'm not certain and this is an assumption, but I suspect that it's due to people using the official Portal modes with crossplay off to grind out T1s etc.

What could they think to be wrong with crossplay off though?

I'm guessing it is a cost cutting measure to keep less server instances running.

  @sk1lld That would make sense, if they bothered shutting down XP farm servers. Which they didn't do. I don't know if their stance changed since I last played.
  
  As someone who has been playing since 2042's launch, this is yet another slap in the face. I paid the premium price, I shouldn't have to worry about server capacity etc. This is just anti-consumer plain and simple.

    I don't think you understand what I am saying. Each server that starts up in the cloud EA/DICE has to pay for, it looks like they no longer want to pay for servers with just one guy in it.

@SharpGoblin What I was meaning was that crossplay off made it more likely to have fewer other players for grinding things against the bots - if I turn it off on the Xbox One version I can near-guarantee that I'll be alone to massacre the AI.

Cost-cutting, like @sk1lld mentioned, does make sense too, now I'm thinking about it.
