@sidewinderfish wrote:So we know specialists are becoming unpopular, and people like the old system, however, they are baked into the cake and already have a lot put into them, meaning DICE isn't going to just rip them out and paste the old classes back in. So how about this instead:
Keep the cross-class weapon system, letting us choose what we want for whoever we want, OR, have one class-specific weapon class like Bf4
Add more generic gadgets, and separate them into actual classes, with some overlap, like how C4 could be used by recons and supports in Bf4. Perhaps both engineers and assaults can use RPGs.
And alongside specialists ADD FACTION SPECIFIC AMERICAN or RUSSIAN GENERIC SOLDIERS for each class who can use 2 generic gadgets. Keep rocket launchers and ammo separated by class, but allow him to carry a launcher and mines, or a launcher and a repair tool, or for medics health packs and armor, or recons getting SOFLAM and Tugs. All of this while keeping specialists intact and optional. If they are underutilized, buff or nerf gadgets to keep things evenly distributed.
Being able to repair and destroy vehicles in BF4 with the same loadout was the perfect balance for Bf4. I shouldn't have to choose!
AND as the game needs to be monetized with microtransactions somehow, let people customize their generic soldiers like in BFV.
EA gets their microtransactions money and the players get more ways to play. Everybody wins.
DICE PLEASE.
Do we get too/2 edit/custom the weapons/gadgets/vehicles
Add custom embelms/logos
&/and customize appearance of the soldiers
Again acouple of ideas

Thanks

@INVALID_USER14 I don't expect custom emblems to ever return to Battlefield since a small but determined subset of players couldn't follow the EA Terms of Service and intentionally and repeatedly made emblems that are both in violation of the EA Terms of Service and the laws of several countries. Since TOS enforcement of emblems does cost EA money via taking the time of employees to moderate it's simpler and cheaper to just not allow custom emblems.
