You brought up some really good points and only a couple I don't necessarily agree with. Overall, I think your list is a good overview of what people have been asking for with some additions like @Daeyon-be pointed out.
In particular, one of the reasons I prefer a basic set of classes is that there is more of a focus on players roles on a team in that sense rather their specials abilities or ridiculous gadgets. ....and with this new Specialist / Hero Character model, that is essentially what the gameplay will become as new Heros are added and new, sci-fi tools they get to use. It will become a war of tech and abilities rather than a focus on unit movements / tactics and gunplay like Ubisoft's Ghost War (that game had 25+ classes and as many abilities / gadgets).
This is only made worse with DICE's changes to make the gameplay more hectic trying to capture more of those "special Battlefield moments". .....but you know what made those such cool moments before? They were relatively uncommon occurrences and that is what made them unique, noteworthy and special.
What I was really hoping for was that EA /DICE would have taken note of Infinity Ward's success with their reboot of MW and their focus on their weaponsmith. They made the weapons the stars of the game and toned down the special ability aspects of the characters, etc. It was a more grounded experience. A lot of people referred to it as a more mature CoD and embraced that they were going back to a better time of the series. It brought a lot of people like me back to the franchise. ....at least for a short while and now that IW back up to bat again, Activision is pushing up MW2's release due to the lackluster performance o the last two titles since MW2019. People had a taste for what IW had done and wanted more ever since. .....and I can't blame them.
....so, the reason I even mentioned all this? It's simple. It may have been too late for them to act on IW's success with MW2019 at the time BF2042 was in development but I hope they give some serious consideration to it now as it seems that is exactly what BF fans have been asking for as well. ....a return to the BF formula that made the game unique and so good. Evolving is fine but let's see and evolution in the form of a better gunsmith, a character creator which carries over to whatever class you select, more freedom to choose your weapon loadout, etc.
I do hope IW takes the same tack with MW2 and it explodes in popularity as a result. .....because maybe then, EA / DICE will finally see that their is merit in considering a return to their own roots in the BF franchise vs. trying to copy trends.
