BF2042: Content Suggestions
So I've played battlefield 2042 for a bit, I like it, it's good fun and the ability to have unique skills between specialists is cool. But the game is lacking compared to the other games so I've got a few ideas that could be added.
General:
- Purchasable and earnable cosmetics for specialists. (Would love to be able to get the AI player armor for my specialists).
- Allow us to switch and join squads.
- Allow AI to fill squads for co-op and make them revive more (especially players).
Gear:
Throwables:
- Roller: Minature drone that roles in one direction and forces all hostiles to go prone. Roll's for 15m before self-destruction. Can be destroyed by players. Has 3 charges, 30 seconds cool down.
Gadgets:
- Shield Wall: Deploys a shield Wall able to prevent all projectiles from passing through including explosives (This includes damage), Does allow players and drones to pass through it. last 5 seconds with only two charges.
- Disruptor: Emp pulse generator that disrupts player hud and any electronics in a 10m radius, 1 charge.
- Hologram: Creates a realistic hologram of the player that stands there, useful for deception for traps. 3 Charges, only 1 deployable at a time.
Call In's:
- Orbital strike (laser beam or something at the target location).
- Bombing Run.
Drones:
Ranger:
- Add skins so we can make them more unique.
- Allow us to "upgrade" them: 50 cal. Gun, Stun Gun, Emp pulse, detection pulse, grenade launcher, additional armor, local map disruptions, etc.
Flying support drone (Vanguard seems like a good name):
- Stays above and ever so slightly behind the player's shoulder.
- Could have different modes that could be unlocked through player use of the drone: Spotting mode (Tag's enemies in a 15m radius and alerts the player by giving them a directional ping maybe?), Defense mode (Deploys a shield with limited HP in front of the player.), Rescue mode (Uses player deployment to come in and revive them to 25% HP before self-destructing and resetting deploy time), Support mode (Stays nearby and heals the player by 15% with a 2-minute cooldown on it.), Assault Mode (has a slow fire low damage machine gun that targets enemies in 15m in front of the player.), Targeted Destruction (Go's to players marker and initiates a self-destruct sequence that deals high damage.)
Weapons:
Primaries:
- More in general.
- "Antique" Snipers like a Dragunov SVD.
- Energy weapons, more sci-fi stuff cause this just feels like Battlefield 4 with drones :/
- Railgun sniper from Battlefield 4
- Compound bow with multiple arrow types.
Secondary's:
- Mini SMGs like the Uzi 2.0 for example since I find having a secondary automatic when using a single fire primary very useful for CQC.
- Unique secondary: Special weapons like a handheld flamethrower, one-handed shotguns, some kind of emp weapon/energy weapon.
- More selection for pistols and such in general.
Functions:
- REDUCE THE RECOIL! IT'S WAY TOO HIGH COMPARED TO THE OTHER GAMES!!
- Better weapon selection UI, seems too small for any planned extra's.
Specialists:
- New Specialist specialized in throwing knives, may actually successfully counter knifing animation/action. - Twordy
-Serhat (Male -Turkish) "Final Frontier" equipped with 1 fire and forget drone missile, may shoot a flare to attract lock on sensors (similar manner as industrial chimneys in BF2). Specialist with phosphorus smoke grenade to slow down and blur the vision of the enemy. - Bennu - everyone calls me Bunzz (Female - Egyptian) "Eagle Girl" equipped with a dart rifle (3 darts only) successful range 40 meters that can be used as a tracker (to lock on vehicles) or detonated (100hp loss, certain death without 20hp shield), noctovision goggles with motion sensor.
Dart after a successful hit reveals the position of the target on the minimap. - Kyrylo just Kyro (Male - Ukrainian) "Lord of Pray' equipped with 6 throwable knives with titanium blades, each knife has got an additional electrostatic charge to paralyze the enemy with 20hp armor shield, specialized in throwing knives or anything at disposal.
The specialist may actually successfully counter knife animation/action.
Travels 15% faster on zip-lines and may shoot from them with higher accuracy. Naomi (Female - Israeli) "Pleasant Star" Weapon for smart ammunition - the Israeli version of XM25 pretty much. The personal laser (fits in a hand) may help with locking onto the vehicles if kept for 5 seconds on target. Blind Boris turret sensors, not destroying it but rendering it useless. - Twordy
