@BonthorryDeWappy Hey,
At the moment there is no detailed information about the content in the future.
Information about Live Service which will be in Battlefield 2042 provides the following:
We’re taking a new approach to live service for a Battlefield game where players will be given the services and evolution they have come to expect from modern multiplayer games, all aimed at keeping the community playing together for years to come.
We’ll be evolving our world and expanding on the fiction through Seasons, each one lasting for about three months. Every Season will come with a new free and paid-for Battle Pass, delivering new content to chase after.
In our first year of live service, we will deliver four Seasons, with four Battle Passes, four new Specialists, along with more fresh content.
We’ll have more to share on the first Season of Battlefield 2042 before launch.

- 4 years ago@IIPrest0nII Thanks for the quick reply. Any information if the specialists will be free or only included if you have the year pass? All my questions come from the direction of, if the year pass is only cosmetic then i dont really need it, if in the future there will be some expansion, then ofcourse i will buy it.

All specialists will be available to all players, no matter game edition or battle pass.
They're not supposed to be locked behind a pay-to-win wall.

Hi @IIPrest0nII ,
I see that EA Marketing have kept the same fluffy phrasing as they used at their initial reveal of paid-for battle passes in the BF2042, and still not telling anything about what it really means at all.
Like this cryptic part...:

- So what is the free part?
- And what is the paid-for part?
The fun running around making the BF2042 game a quiz show is long gone. Time for EA to deliver some real answers now please.

What we know is that maps will be free for everyone and new equipment/specialists can be earned without paying money
However, they are being deceptively vague on what is actually being included with the season passes and how you access that content once available.

And even part of that 'what we know' is intentionally kept deceptively vague.
Aka, great, so we can grind our way to new equipment/weapons and specialists? Like maybe accumulating 100M XP and you earn the right to select a new Specialist to your BF2042 portfolio. Or.... maybe you want to pay the $40 and buy it direct from EA to have it from launch day?
Reality is simply that EA have told us near absolutely nothing so far.
Especially their entire monetizing model for this game has still to be revealed.
Anybody daring to bet on that all will be wonderful clear on launch day?
- So what is the free part?
