BF2042 gunplay trailer

Has anyone seen this?

I amazes me that we have litterally seen 3 sec of guns blazing...

The rest has been show-off of technical fluff and stuff...

We want to see MOAR! 🤓

  • @DeeCay_DK_81I do not find it "amazing" personally. I find it disconcerting.

Weapons / gunplay have usually been solid in the Battlefield series... I am sincerely hoping it continues here. However, the fact we have not seen more worries me.  I really do not want some silly COD system where guns have no weight, sound, or recoil...

And not even that, have we seen...

What we have seen, is plenty of fluff and stuff, but no more than the loadout cross and a few bullets fired out into the air.  And that is it,  Rest has been 3rd person's fly-bys and marketing fluff.  OK, we have seen some of the large scale maps and vehicles in action, which is key part of Battlefield.  But we have seen no first person gameplay action from within vehicles or from infantry players.  And here the game mechanics, the weapons handling and ballistics are crucial parts of the special Battlefield feeling!

  • 27. That's how many rounds were fired in the 'gameplay' trailer.

Was hoping to see actual gameplay at EA play but we still haven't seen anything of substance and know very little about the about the game as of yet.

People won't be able to talk about the Alpha but at least a bunch of players will be able to test and tweak most (hopefully all) guns by the time Beta hits; I'm sure millions if not billions of bullets will be fired in that time.

Battlefield has always delivered on the weight and "feel" of guns so I'm not too worried

That’s like shooting with a FAMAS for 1.7 seconds!   😃💥

I would have said the same if not for the mess they made in BFV.

I'm as curious as anyone about game play but I am acutely aware that when released, the 'community' would whinge and demand change on the strength of it before the beta dropped.

DICE have a tendency to do knee * changes on the basis of such baseless outcry.

BF1's AA Rocket Gun is a fine example.

@SirBobdk I say that about BF4. BFV gunplay is way better to me.

They went a better direction with gunplay in BFV, projectile speed, the horizontal random deviation of recoil is pretty easy to control, first couple rounds out the gun are spot on accurate, tracer every other bullet, Vertical recoil is cut down for different stances, etc.

BF4 had little variation on how different guns actually felt. The ones of the same type all felt the same. BFV has distinct feels for different weapons of the same class.

Hey we all have opinions right.
