i mean the player is still a rat for using the 12M but cheating? debatable in the games current state
This community has no clue.
When a player horizontal beams you through smoke while Mackay grappling and an entire region knows this player is cheating, and has reported this player literally 1000s of times to no action, you know there is a real issue.
You are part of the problem.
We cant name and "shame" but we cant report players through any other avenue. What can we do???

Of course there are cheaters. People are developing a commerical product and its making them a ton of money. That doesn't happen if no one is using them. There is plenty of gaslighting. Rage hackers have never been the problem. Its the careful cheaters that gain the advantage. DICE removed spectator mode, scoreboard, all chat, etc. because they just don't want people discussing it. They believe that discussion of the the problem is bad for the brand and promotes more of it.
Just look at the Activision lawsuit against Engine Owning. They even state in the suit that "Among the customers of the Cheating Software are high-profile streamers of the COD Games who reside in the United States."
You can bet that if high-profile streamers are willing to risk cheating (btw, the cheat software cleans the stream so you can't see the overlay), that Joe Sixpack is willing to do the same. Just because someone is very good at the game, doesn't meant they don't augment those skills with software. Insiders know the truth. I just hope someone eventually goes on record and exposes it.

There definitely are cheaters in the game, more than people realise tbh.
Some have been in it from the start, and I've frequently reported them. Players who are never not at the top of a server, always have dozens upon dozens of kills, hardly any deaths. This is in spite of all the different permutations of a server (lag, who is on your team and who is on the other team). If every suspect thing is down to lag, then it makes little sense that these particular players always come out on top. I've said it many times before: if I had high ping, I get creamed by low ping and rubberband terribly.
Fact of the matter is, people cheat. I've seen one player doing it as blatantly as possible (standing in one spot and killing everyone), but I've seen dozens doing it while trying to at least pretend they're not. Bunch of them are super high ranks (we're talking S700+) who jump hundreds of ranks in a short space of time. They'll join halfway through a round and end up beating the next highest kill count by two or three times. There are even more of them in the low rankings, who will dominate a round and then disappear, but if you see them again, they'll do the same thing. We're talking people with single digit ranks at times. Players who will do one hit kill damage at range on the body (beyond even the NTW), or only hit the head. Sometimes the giveaway is the weapon they use, being something relatively weak that somehow destroys you instantly in a fleeting second as you fly across their line of sight 50m away.
Above all, I'm convinced wallhacking is the most used. Too many players running without gadgets or abilities (you can hear motion sensors and you know when you've been scanned), often as characters like Angel or Falck, will instantly find you. I've said it before sometimes it feels like the game assigns particular players within a match to kill you more easily, resulting in one player out of a group killing you over and over no matter where you are or how many others are shooting at you. I've watched players run to the most out of the way locations, where I wasn't moving, wasn't shooting, wasn't doing anything to give myself away, and go straight at me. I had a player recently somehow instantly know I was 300m directly above them in a parachute, and literally snaplock up to shoot me in the head.
Other times it feels like enemies just deal or take more damage. One player in particular as of late, again low rank, will instantly obliterate you with an aircraft cannon. We're talking fraction of a second at full armour, while they will take a sustained burst. An enemy tank the other day was taking upwards of nine different rocket impacts to destroy, and constantly self-repairing (there was no player with a repair tool next to them).
I know there are ways to locate people, using the minimap or listening to footsteps, or being observant overall. A player used to accuse me of cheating simply because I could see people in the open and they couldn't (same player also thought character abilities were hacks as well so...). But sometimes its obvious these players can see you through walls, because they'll appear and instantly take you out despite no indications you were there prior. No scan, no gadget, no passive.
Sadly, too many people are dismissive of it. Some will straight up defend obvious hacking (either because they themselves do it, as they are often questionable themselves), or they just want to troll.

Im not going to name any names.
But here are some videos of some guys playing bf2042, just having a great time; no accusations or anything just chilling.
Nothing going on other than pure gameplay, and real footage of the OCE community enjoying the game.

CM edit this post if it "breaches". Everyone feel free to ask for a DM of the videos if they are removed.

There was a streamer in Battlefield 1 who took donations from his audience and used the donation money to pay for his cheat subscription services. Any leftover donation money was used to buy alcohol.
That's the way to do it! Get your audience to fund the whole operation.
