BF2042 has an interesting implementation of the mortar

I do not know how many others have noticed it, but  the armored vehicles (MBT, Wildcat and MAV) have a 60mm mortar pod as one of the modules for the 3rd seat of these vehicles. What makes it unique ...

The issue now is with the range though.. What kind of mortar have such a short range

    @BlurKiller Since it is an accessory to the tanks, it means that it is mainly there to protect the tank from threats, so the range makes some sense for a passenger module.

    A standalone mortar would have bigger range
