When I try to enter a match, it finds me, then there's a black screen and I'm thrown out into the lobby.
But at the same time, other modes are loading.
Can you help me to fix it?

Same issue for me here using GeForce now on Macbook - used to work fine.
If I go to Portal and select a game then it works
I installed the latest Nvidia drivers as of 13th May 2026. Now I cannot even log onto BF2042 servers or BF6 Redsec Servers. Both games will now not start.
Same issue with me. I try to join the standard 128 player Conquest server from the main screen. I get a black screen and then thrown back to the main screen. Portal servers work so there appears to be a problem with the main EA servers running standard Mastery servers.

When I try to join any game in Battlefield 2042, whether it's Conquest Team Deathmatch or Breakdown, the screen stays black for a while, then it throws me back to the lobby without letting me join. My graphics card drivers are up-to-date. My internet connection is good. I repaired the game through the EA app, performed EA app recovery, restarted the game, and even tried opening and closing the Task Manager, but nothing changed. but I can connect to the servers in the portal. I don't understand what's happening.
I have the same issue, finds a game and then back to the lobby, has been happening for around one week and I’m using an Xbox series X

Thanks for the reply. They tried to load me into two different maps: first, in 64-player mode on "Manifest," and then in 128-player mode on "Kaleidoscope."

From what I can see in the attached video it looks like both times it happened it tried to load you in on the same map.
Can you see if you are able to load into that map in Portal? If not can you try other maps and let us know if the same thing happens.
