@carsono311Distinctively different from which titles. BF2/2142/1/V all feel really good compared to BF3-4. Plus BFV returned to the traditional gun playstyle, along with removing the fake recoil garbage and the clunky movement that was in BF4.
Battlefield has always been a mix of sim and arcade style gameplay. But Battlefield 5 completely abandoned the simulation aspect and moved completely towards arcade style. The movements felt unrealistic and weightless. Hopefully this changes with 2042. Personally, I'm hoping the gameplay is similar to Battlefield 4.

@rei029 No it hasn't, Battlefield has always been an arcade sandbox game and never a sim. They made BF2 Project reality because a few video game masochists wanted BF2 to be a sim instead of what it was. That mod turned into the game called Squad.
I liked the BF3 movement best of all but BF5's movement apart from crouch running was pretty solid. There should be a reduction in speed when you crouch run IMO. BF4's movement at launch was heavy, slow, and clunky. It was so bad that DICE listened to community feedback made BF4's movement as close to BF3's movement as possible considering the engine differences between BF3 and 4.
I'm completely with you hoping that the gameplay is similar to BF4.
