Well I've seen them since their inception. If the biggest pro for having it is the ability to type "GG" at the end of the round then forgetaboutit.
I hide the chat window every round anyways. As I stated, the chat in BF games is seldom used for actual team strategy / communication.
Just got off a server where some troll was spamming "Trump 2024" incessantly, not to mention there are 128 players on servers now, could get very messy.
Thought I mentioned that I hide the chat window every game.
Think about how that chat window will look with 128 players spamming things.
Seriously there are so many bigger fish to fry here.

Considering how it was one of the deciding factors for me to leave consoles and become a PC gamer again back in BF4, I think it is a very big fish for me.
