BFV back prone

Il be honest with you il miss seeing detail like that from that perspective….(as detailed as 2042 is don’t get me wrong this ain’t no attack)

I have about the same trouble spotting enemies in forwards prone facing you straight on than I do that one (not that it bothers me It just the reason why Dice scrapped it, player visibility but it was also a remedy to border clipping) so was a shame to see it no longer featured for a modern battlefield  , but yeah spotting people in that position in V no more trickier than someone facing you in normal prone position playing 2042 , but that’s the point of it to conceal yourself , not sure it would suit 2042 environment though , they really pulled it off for a ww2 environment.

I’d defo like to see evolutions on these types of 1st person cinematic mechanics in future games (especially when they knocked off feet)   , coz you have to admit perspectives like that are immersive , I mean I’m covered in mud , love that belt buckle  and my boots. A Dice speciality that , cool 1st person  s**t

  • @SillyCyb There is so much in BFV that would have made 2042 really good. Just the fine detail and the fortification system would have gone a long way. Fine details like this are surely missed.

@NutcrusherrReading through most reviews the distinct impression is rage quit straight for the keyboard.. as I’ve said before if the team ain’t bothering expect a rough ride.. when the team pulls together the ride to victory is immense.. when the ride is rough that ain’t no fault on the game , it’s the fault of the timing of the players.. it’s also one of them games if you ain’t feeling it then don’t bother..in order to enter the slip stream of pace you have to be feelin it for the experience to work… that’s how it’s always been with any BF game but new player from other realms don’t give it enough time

As for what was it , historic inaccuracies , i took my hats off for them getting somewhat ‘experimental’ with ww2 that time round even then nothing really felt inaccurate  , they’ve already provided 1942 so why not… They made it work and pulled it off either way and it only got better as seasons went on now that it’s completed I hold it as one of Dices masterpieces ,made with soul
I also think the addition of female soldiers was pritty sweet as well ; my medics loadouts are pritty bad *. The Japanese warrior chick , she fights good , people’s ignorance brings things down… misconception about women only working in factories or medic nurses , that may of been mostly the case for Britain,  but resistant fighters across Europe weren’t just men..

Either way for how it plays and sounds it’s a game il always love

@Nutcrusherr BFV "undid" all the awful things in BF1, but introduced a lot of new "stupidities" instead.

I personally think that BFV, without health-attrition (and perhaps less rocket/arty-spam) would have been much more successful and actually a fun BF-game.

If Dice had removed health-attrition instead of messing with TTK they could perhaps have rescued the game.
  • @cso7777I was a player though that never noticed ttk being any different to any other.. and so when they announced the change I was abit concerned at first because I didn’t think anything needed adjusting , but it turned out I still couldn’t really notice anything different, so for that I was glad either way and I half thought it was a placebo operation…..Impression i got was Dice were responding to players that don’t usually play BF games and we’re obviously trying to get it more in line with what they are use to gunplay wise.. just another attack another tactic at another angle.,,

Health attrition I found them useful in certain sticky situation
Arty spams ? Well all that added to the immersion of ww2 , ducking and diving through enemy artillery whilst taking out players (they expect you to run) I found yield me quite a bit of adrenaline.. besides never got an impression such things were spammed in BFV unlike that of BF1 then yes people spammed the crap out of the mortar truck because they could , you can’t really spam BFv commands coz they cost points or ground wise you have to reload somewhere , tactical play comes in when you take out their ammo supply that a tank is charging for  , just suits the ww2 scene….

rescuing the game? Well the reality is quite a lot of people still play it me included.

The problem with the TTK-changes was that a lot of guns became useless and we got 'metas' with only some guns being viable and most of the guns being "useless".

Attrition just became 'a lot of work'. After each gun-fight you had to find healing and if no medic was around (and you weren't playing medic') you had to find a health-station at the nearest objective, otherwise you your next gun-fight would probably result in certain death (because you loose health at most gun-fights). Health-attrition slowed the game-play down too much.

Arty/rockets again was a matter of the game-play being slowed down, you could not PTFO because objectives were being spammed by rockets or arty, especially "late-game". This also often makes it very hard for a team being spawn-trapped, to capture any objectives and get back in the fight.

  • @cso7777These are all issues that effected you personally… I never had trouble with any of that.. And as I already said, I noticed no ttk changes , I never had trouble capturing objectives without getting spammed , neither experienced getting spawn trapped to capture stuff (sometimes you sacrifice a class to use a another players spawn beacon for instance)
I feel these are you one or 2 memories of a single match because most matches pan out differently for me each time (one of the things I love about BF games).. and artillery on capture points just adds to excitement of capturing them , it’s ww2 mate they’d be going on longer than that ! , as for that v1 , man !

im not saying there’s been no improvements either , I much prefer how 2042 vaults over objects for instance I just wish it had more direction where AOW is concerned… , I’m just making a point I guess that getting rid of the ol backwards prone makes no difference to visibility..and that I will miss starring at my belt buckle and boots.. well I won’t coz il stil play it but you know

main point is shouldn’t take such details for granted
