Boris auto turret turning players red is no different that real Army equipment that senses heat and can be worn via headgear.
Plus if you play Boris much, you will understand that it explodes about 30-40% of the time when you first place it, on any surface, including paved roads. So in a way Dice nerfed it by making it a huge gamble as if you place it correctly, you risk getting shot, and you will get lasered when it blows up instead of distracting the player when setting it up.
So Boris turret it does fit BF more than say an Apex Pathfinder grapple hooking soldier, as that tech is fantasy and massively game changing as you have to look up on impossible to reach spots and are never safe at height. From what I understand, auto-turret tech has been used to eliminate targets recently, per MSM news last year...so it is real tech, not fantasy...
