Boris Turret is in a Good spot, but he needs a better passive perk

With the new changes to His turret in S5, It's now able to deal significant damage to enemies and can finish infantry or vehicles off.

So he is in a good spot but he still needs work with a passive perk.

Sentry Operator is a perk that relies too heavily to his gadget, and compared to the other engineer specialists, its also very situational, where as Critical repair is useful for vehicle players or as a mechanic for the team, and Armor Hunter is useful to spot vehicles for the team to take down.

With the other classes, even they have some use like Dozer's blast resistance allows him to survive a SPH Stick.

Boris' current perk honestly should have been part of the sentry while he had a different passive perk. It could be being able to carry and place more mines to a total of 6, or carry/ spawn with more rockets, or repair nearby vehicles while inside one to list a few from past titles.

  • @BownrInSweatPanz What changes did his turret get? There were no patch notes about him.

Yeah his passive needs to be reworked. It should be something like his turret deals more damage to vehicles that are below 25% hp or something, I dunno - his turret should already perform at full capacity without needing to be close to it.

@UNL1M1T3D_P0W3R Turret deals more damage faster at the cost of HP of the turret, It was a stealth change that wasn't in the patch notes.

Like I said the turret is in a good spot and dealing more damage to low HP vehicles is no different than what it currently is. all the other engineer's passives help outside of their gadget like crawford can repair vehicles and gadgets faster when at low HP and Liz can mark vehicles for the team

I don't think so, Boris' turret still feels weak compared to Crawford or Lis. Both of their gadgets is better than the turret in nearly every way.

Though I agree, the damage output on the Turret is fine, it was also fine before this patch, but what was not fine is how quickly it can be destroyed, just like all the other place-able gadgets, all it takes is a few bullets.

@BownrInSweatPanz Liz can only spot damaged vehicles, while using her Rocket. The moment she puts it away she no longer can track damaged vehicles. So to me that is no passive, it is an ability of the G-84.
