To put how ridiculous the Angel armor is into perspective, think of the TTK patches in BFV. The ones that had made all weapons (other than BA headshots) need 1 more bullet to kill.
It was throwing the gun balance out of whack because it was disproportionately nerfing the slower firing guns over the faster firing guns.
So think about how Angel who armor adds 1 bullet to kill to himself and the target is basically having the power to add a temporary TTK patch to a player. If anything it makes gunplay inconsistent.
The Boris turret is more of a gray area. In my opinion it needed a complete overhaul instead of a nerf to oblivion. As some have suggested it could be repurposed into a manual turret that works like a stationary emplacement

I think the full auto turret with the Boris proximity is okay. I'd preferred if the engagement angles would have been adjusted to like +/-45° elevation instead of what feels like +/-90° now, and maybe 120° horizontal instead of 180°. Spotting angles would have been better than that.
- 4 years ago@UP_Hawxxeye But armour is still in the game? Players can start with 2 armor plates. Then they can constantly replenish them with a ammo crate. The effect of Angel is still in the game and long as 1 person uses a ammo crate in a squad
