Wrong, they are used in niche games with low player bases. Not battlefield where people want to play against other humans.
Battlefield used to have bots available but they were turned OFF by default because nobody wants to play with them.
Server admins tried experimenting with turning them on in Battlefield before and it failed because people would just leave when they saw the bots.
It's what helped kill Red Orchestra 2. The over reliance on bots to populate servers. People got tired of all the server hopping trying to find humans.

I fully agree with you @Crackhead88. DICE is using bots as a Band-Aid to fix their crappy matchmaking system. I doubt BF2042 is going to have a server browser at all. They're probably going full matchmaking this time and their system is so crappy they need bots to keep the servers full.
