Bots in old BF games use pings and communication more than humans in 2042.
I really enjoy how bots in the old Battlefield games communicate when they're dropping people off (they use the get out ping) and ping for repairs when their vehicle is low, etc.
They communicate better than humans do in 2042.
I want to see more incentives for teamwork so people have more reasons to listen to pings and to actually ping themselves.
This can be done in multiple ways:
More variety in EXP events (for example: the enemy you pinged got killed by a squadmate/teammate. 20xp for teammate kill, 30xp for squadmate kill)
Add squad fire support rewards. I forgot which game it was, might have been BF3 or BF4, but if your squad was doing well together, you guys would get rewarded with stuff that you can call-in, like airstrikes and whatnot. I don't think airstrikes will be good for 2042 in its current state, but the squad call-in mechanic is definitely worth looking into, to encourage players to work together.
My own idea: Self-oriented rewards for squad teamwork. This would be in addition to squad fire support rewards. For example, once your squad has amassed a total of (let's just say for example) 250 EXP together, for resupplying ammo/reviving/healing/capping/etc. Because of that, you guys can each now equip a minor permanent bonus, such as a bit more ammo, or 10 armor, or an extra grenade. I feel like this would help a lot to "trick" players into working together by providing selfish rewards.
