Bring Back Supression

I don't even know why this was removed while adding a "hacked" helm visor instead.  When you're being shot at, and pullets fly by you or hit close to your head, you should be suppressed.  It's one of the few ways that you could counter a sniper when trying to run across cover-less areas.  It was a great use in other games, so it really makes no sense why it was taken out while increasing the amount of empty space a sniper can hit you in.  Bring back blurry suppressed vision!

@X-Sunslayer-X no one should be penalized, the penalty itself comes from enemys not beeing able to trespass or get free sight on your territory.
especially with lmgs it's pretty useful to fire at some position just to hinder people from instantly storming in

@RaginSamI agree about snipers not being much more than an annoyance. The amount of deaths to snipers are few.

The worst part about long-range-snipers are that they do not kill a lot of enemies and they do not help capturing flags. Mostly they just 'waste' a player-slot.

Snipers are more of a check than a mass killer.

Having a semi decent sniper in the team can potentially oppose the other team from controlling some of the more exposed  vantage points.

The problem starts when people snipe just because they cannot be bothered to move closer to do anything more substantial

In BFV, if I recall, it slightly adds a very minor blur on the edges of the screen but for the most part, you had full visibility and were plenty fine to still aim.  The big thing was the fact that being "fully suppressed" meant being 3D spotted for a brief moment.  THATS a feature that should be brought back.  If youre opening fire on a distant enemy with the intent to fully suppress them and spot them for your nearby allies, then youre opening yourself up as well. And that enemy that gets 3D spotted only shows up to nearby allies if I recall.   Not the whole map. So theres a give and take to offer balance.

The visual of adding a minor blurred vignette should still exist to give more of a proper visual feedback of suppression to the person taking fire.  But keeping it around the edges of the screen are fine.  Ive always really liked the Suppression mechanic in the recent BF franchise as it added a level of quality to the fights that most AAA shooters dont have and also offered another layer to how weapons could be balanced, i.e. LMGs with crap recoil and big mags could at least play a role in offering support from a distance to players.  Much of what they are suppose to do.

In BF2042, Im not sure Suppression that offers spotting will be much of importance though since theres already 5 million ways to get spotted.
