As far I am aware this is working as intended. @TurkishTerror101

No, it is not working correctly, as far as I know we can delete fairly easily if it's a required resource for the game because we can find it in our documents folder when we click on our user profile on our PCs.
The main problem for us is that this cache saves thousands of files, and they keep getting uploaded to One Drive or Google Drive because both options (Microsoft and Google) offer the default Back up of files in the folders on "Pictures" and "Documents".
One Drive has detected around 3,200 files uploaded for me, which means that is a lot of bandwidth used and now I have to manually delete all of these files in both One Drive and PC.

Howdy Jv04,
This error is indeed very unnecessary.
In just 10 hours of playing Battlefield 2042 in multiple sessions, my cache folder increased by 1.5Gigabytes with 2500 files, which indeed were uploaded by OneDrive.
To prevent unnecessary uploads, and save bandwidth for gaming, I 'paused' OneDrive synchronization for 8 hours.
Meanwhile, EA should consider cleaning up the Old Cache files when the game is shutdown or started. They seem to be DX12 related.
When big amounts of files are stored in one folder, most hard drives need significantly more time reading the directory contents, each time a program is reading the folder content, which is clearly visible once the amount of files exceeds 5000.
I hope EA, fixes this issue quickly, since many people are questioning this issue, in this thread.
See ya in the game!!
