Can someone explain how new conquest works?

Can someone explain how new conquest scoring works?

Are 3 flag sectors same as 1 flag sectors in terms of ticket bleed?

If you own 2 out of 3 flags, is this sector neutral ( neither team bleeds tickets from it )
Are tickets lost at death or after downing enemy?
Do you need to hold the majority of sectors or flags to start ticket bleeding other team, or is the ticket bleed tied to amount of flags you own?

  • All flags must be captured in order to gain a sector. Its simply indicated by a blue/red/grey marking on your minimap. Blue if friendly, red is enemy, grey if neutral (Meaning neither teams control all of the flags in the sector)

Tickets lost at spawning. Spawning after death costs your team 1 ticket.

If your team holds more sectors than the enemy, the enemy team starts bleeding a certain amount of tickets each second or X amount of seconds (I'm not sure about the exact numbers in this game)

  • Hi @Killtheradio ,

Though EA have not posted really detailed info about this, let me try and take a stab at answering your good questions about Conquest scoring mechanics here.  So just based on from what I have experienced from the gameplay so far and what EA have shared/indicated in their marketing:

Q1: Are 3 flag sectors same as 1 flag sectors in terms of ticket bleed?
Yes, it appears that the total influence from ticket bleed, that all sectors are having the same effect as the other sectors in this, so all considered of equal importance.  No matter if it is a 3-flag sector or a 1-flag sector.

Q2: If you own 2 out of 3 flags, is this sector neutral (neither team bleeds tickets from it )
Not 100% sure on this, as never had a server entirely alone for myself to check it out, but have the sensation that owning just 2 out of 3 flags inside a sector does  indeed already make the ticket bleeding start.  (you can notice this probably to be the case, when we start the game round and the first flags are being taken and no kills so far and no sectors either are taken.  But we do see the tickets bleeding start if one team is quicker to stat the flag taking versus the enemy team.  But what does appear to be certain is that once you own all the flags inside a sector, then the total compounded effect of ticket-bleeding starts to be much more profound and severe!

Q3: Are tickets lost at death or after downing enemy?

The tickets are not lost just because you down an enemy.  Because it depends if that enemy stays down.  So a revive of a soldier will avoid the team from loosing a ticket.  Actually, the ticket is not used until you actually use it to respawn back into the game!  So if you quit or do not respawn after a death, then you do not use a ticket.  This is certainly how it used to function in older versions of the BF game.
So a very important aspect to think about if you are down to the last few tickets and both teams are getting close to zero.  If your team has only a few tickets left and same for the enemy team, then do not respawn back in again if you want to try and keep the win here for your team!  Seen many times where we have won or lost with just 1-2 tickets remaining, and that then makes the whole difference...

Q4: Do you need to hold the majority of sectors or flags to start ticket bleeding other team, or is the ticket bleed tied to amount of flags you own?
It appears to be linked to the overall number of sectors that you own.  But great question and we better try it out in practice, because we have so far not had clarification on this from EA...

What is sure, owning all 3 flags inside a single sector results in less ticket bleed versus owning 3 sectors with only 1 flag in each.
