@BirkelandPSNNO, like Dispy said - i have had to mute countless players because we hear TV's in the background, feedback of the game itself, background conversations including very "personal" things like who's girl just got pleasured ( in a very more adult like context ), people talking about calling their tax person, hell, i had someone repeat a damn PHONE NUMBER over VoIP! Even heard a child get disciplined and then screaming crying........ things that absolutely do not need to be sent over a game VoIP, because people are to careless to properly configure their mics and setups.
NO! Off by DEFAULT and force them to configure them properly.

then with PC, VoIP half * works ! it will turn itself off, stop responding or otherwise just not work for 1 or more rounds, then randomly turn itself back on!
How do you screw up VoIP to the point it barely works properly, WHEN setup properly.- ATFGunr3 years agoLegend@AOD_CapStar362 It’s also very quiet, I’ve turned it up to 90% and still can barely hear the very rare time somebody else has VoIP on. Off by default is good so that someone has to want to use it so it limits the potential, that way I can keep mine on in case someone wants to actually chat and coordinate play.

The way its set now is if no one else in your squad had their voice chat on, then yours is auto disabled until someone figured out how to turn it on. I played on and off for months before I got frustrated with never hearing anyone and explored the options to find that voice chat was disabled

When you first set up your game/profile chat and messaging for squad, team or proximity or all game should be a simple and easy section when you install the game, the options and hot keys should be simple and clearly designed to allow people to use those functions.
Also having the ability to turn off those functions should also be in that initial set up, I understand people wish to talk to other players but forcing me to hear some teenager spewing racial or sexual taunts non stop all game (and trust me after 20+ years of this edgie BS I'm well and truly over it) every one should be able to make a clear and defined choice forcing players to dig through disjointed set up pages isn't a well designed interface.
The current UI for most modern FPS games is trash and with social media being such a huge influence on the gaming community you'll think current UI would be pushing the social side of their game and make it easy to operate.
We should be given the option to use it how each player individually wants, not force us to have it on or off
