Would be great to have a profanity filter option instead of all being treated as 5 year olds.

I don't mind an optional profanity filter that defaults to on. I'm not gonna be cussing out other players, but if I think something sucks I wanna be able to say so. And also, the current implementation (in Battlefield V) absolutely does suck. It censors the weirdest things. You can't even say "gulag" (and so many other seemingly innocent words). Also, there's swearing from actual soldiers in-game, but we can't say those same words. That's just weird.
I'll wager most Battlefield players are over 18. Why can't we be trusted to decide for ourselves if we want the broken profanity filter on or off? Just let it be on by default.

I like how your operaters can swear like crazy... then I get ****** not wiener when putting in a Message of the Day in Portal. All I wanted it to say was BE A WINNER... NOT A WIENER! SMH
- CountSero4 years agoSeasoned Ace@-NME-M0710NM4N as mentioned by other before the lines of specialist a controlled by EA/DICE, what you can write in chat is out of controll by EA/DICE > so the filters come into play 😉
