It's all good you just need practice. Start shooting at the lower body and in bursts instead of continuous shooting if you're using an SMG for example. Controlling the recoil is challenging and part of the fun. This is why i could not stand COD 10 years ago. Did that change these days in COD? Also work on getting better attachments. Recoil becomes less of an issue.
Changing your FOV and scopes can help tremendously. I've found there to be way less kick using the standard loadouts as well - you may not be doing max damager per bullet, but I like to feel I'm connecting way more with each one.
