Can't join squads then? How to ID cheats if we can't see enemy teams kill count?

This is an oversight surely? Quite often I'll leave a squad if they are playing in a style I don't like or are attacking an objective that I don't want to attack or whatever. Usually I'll browse through the other squads, see what classes they are playing and see what they are up to etc and join one that I want to play with. Or ya know, join a game, start a squad and have a good bunch of people or my IRL mates join it as and when they come online.

So why can't we do that anymore? What was so bad about that feature that they felt it had to be taken away? I mean, you can't even see what classes people are playing by looking at the Scoreboard?! Sometimes I'll look at the opposite team on the scoreboard and see how many snipers they have or who is piloting what vehicle so I can adjust my class and play style accordingly.

I though DICE wanted more of a community spirit and all that? We can't even text chat to the opposite team anymore so there's no rivalry or banter or sharing tips or identifying cheaters and all that. What's the point in giving us banning controls if you can't even see how many kills players on each team have? The biggest quickest giveaway that someone is cheating is their kill count going up far too quickly and seeing lots of headshots in the kill feed, even that isn't there anymore either?

Has DICE lost the plot here or something?
