I have no idea why my experience with cheaters is totally different to the majority of posters on various BF2042 forums. I've reported 4 or 5 cheaters since launch and every single one of them was banned within a week according to emails. A guy cheating yesterday that I reported was banned in less than 24 hours. There's no better feeling of karma than ruining a cheaters day just like they do to us when they ruin our gaming experiences. Credit where credits due. Well done EA.

Maybe I was lucky with not finding many bandits or maybe I am not always sure enough when someone is just really good or they are crossing the line unless they really stand out.One of the features that this series lacks the most is a replay of how you got killed. It would have been so much easier if I knew someone was tracking me through walls and smoke.

I saw a post yesterday where someone was banned, there were a couple people on the thread that said they were banned also. Feel bad for them if it was an incorrect ban because they lost their whole account. But if they are lying about the way they were banned then good ridden.

I agree - I have also reported several and also received several of those mails.So yes - it works - but perhaps sometimes it takes some time.Also think perhaps - way too many report just because they feel the guy knows too much. This game is about beeing spotted - you get spotted constantly and that is not cheat.Some perhaps have invested a lot of money into a super headset that can resolve all the tiny micro details - that is also not cheat.Tactics - be quiet - stop and listen for other players and not just run around constantly - could help.Play with sensitivity on mouse - could also help with aim.Again - report - all we can do !

@I_DYN4MO_I I have seen them get banned mid game recently but this week ive reported about 10 and would say maybe 8 replies from EA within a day or so saying they took action.

It does not work. I have reported dozens of Blatant cheats who are well known in the community as cheaters. They record themselves , they laugh in discord the mock EA and the other players. EA seriously needs to up their act. The only was to deal with EA's incompetence is to boycott them.

@Hudson One reply confirming action taken. Even the Blatant cheats are still playing. I have people in the community to openly admit to me they cheat and they are still playing. EA will only start Banning them now as the game is dying.
EA wants to win back the confidence of the loyal.... that's too late with many older players.. The young naïve will keep wasting their money.

You basically answer your own question.
A cheater to you is someone who can't behave and violates everything you consider acceptable. Even the cheaters say it on their forums, if you get reported, your settings are too high.

Then you can discuss how good an anticheat is when you have to manually report things that should actually be done automatically by this AC. How well does this AC work against those you don't report, where the absolute majority of cheaters are?
The answer is quite simple, if there is nothing to report, then there are no cheaters either.
