I wonder if cheaters are much more prevalent in certain regions.
I think I've only encountered 3 obvious cheaters since the release of BF2042, and two of those times were during the steam weekend a couple months ago.
I may have seen more but its so uncommon in the servers I've been playing that I can't think of other times.
Two of the cheaters I have seen are people spinning on top of hills with a LMG getting headshots in all directions against players hundreds of metres away.
I think the other was doing something funky in a nightbird.
Either way, these were really obvious cheaters and they were probably banned because I never saw them again after those games.
A lot of the time in the text chat when people claim their are cheaters on the enemy team, the enemy is skilled and the player making the claim is having a bad run.
- @Ga-Knomboe_Boy It is not just the obvious or blatant cheater that is the problem. It is the ones that use 'soft cheats" that I am more concerned about. The players that always know where you are at or the ones that are not missing any shots no matter the angle or reaction time. They are hard to spot but they are there. I know there are a lot of cheaters but I only came across one that was blatant about it.
@Ga-Knomboe_Boy I've long noticed suspicious play starts picking up the later at night it gets. Its not completely absent during the day, but its much more prevalent at night. My working hypothesis is because that is when certain timezones are waking up and logging in.
Really sucks when you come across cheaters - especially ones that cooperate with others. Like, I enjoy playing against bots from time to time for an easier experience, but I don't see how having scripts and stuff that do everything is at all enjoyable.
Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot we can do on these forums other than request you send as much video/screenshot proof as you can to one of the mods/devs/EA Game Advisors so they can review it
