Cheating is inevitable. Reporting (as everyone mentioned) is really the only way to help mitigate the problem but it will never be fully eradicated in games. Even consoles aren't protected from it. .....ever heard of Chronos?
It's a big reason why I prefer co-op and solo games these days and one reason I spend nearly all my time in Portal in this one. I'd rather play with or against people and bots I know aren't cheating. It's a shame but it's really no fun going against folks who have an unfair advantage. It got so bad in CoD:MW (2019) we all left the game.
IMO, Portal was a brilliant move by EA/DICE and the only reason I bought BF2042.
