The issues with the current state of the game, bad hit detection, no real spectator cam, and no scoreboard makes it almost impossible to know if anyone is cheating.
Unless they are doing 360 degree obvious rage hacking and you happen to see the kill feed with the same name, Seriously how can we tell otherwise.
The problem with that is most will just think the game is still broken, or are just bad at this game. Either way it will just frustrate people to the point they give up or stop playing, without really understanding why. All they know is the game wont feel fun to play.
Console players will just turn crossplay off, but the way crossplay has been implemented on Next-gen is causing its own problems. Unless you play on high population servers, Xbox crossplay can be non-existent in a lot of regions. So you are forced to either play with full crossplay with PC or go and play the base console version, which at the moment runs horrendously.
So unless SX servers pick up in most areas the extra money you paid for next gen becomes pointless if the hacking becomes rampant. Which I believe that will be the case until the game is fixed and those legacy items like the scoreboard are returned to help spot them. I think most can agree the game will take some months to be fixed. So in that time the cheating will unintentionally be allowed to flourish unchecked.
Console only crossplay should have been an option from day 1.

Just a fyi there is a max stat mod out now i have ran into several rank 5,000 players showing off red badges they are always spawn trapping a team somewhere
- @tom_looken That's the thing about hacks these days too. Most hacks have so many variables they can fine tune, it makes those easy to hide. Unless the do the obvious rage hack, or as you just pointed out just boost stats. It seems like there is no limit to what they can do these days. Multiplayer games will just die off at the rate hacks are being developed.

@ChugKendallThey are not rank 5000, they are S001-100. When you reach lvl 99 you go up in prestige, an S is added before the number. But for the Hacks issue, the game needs the table of scores urgently or it will be impossible to make reports efficiently, currently it is very difficult to catch cheats and the only guide would be the casualties that currently cannot be seen.
@DICE_RU1N3D_BF Xbox only games are non existent and the PS5 only games are limited to high game population regions like Europe, North America. Unfortunately, I fall into the category of people who are crying for console only servers because of low game population here in India. I either connect to Middle east servers or Hong Kong servers, which is where I found the cheater. None of them are supporting console only lobbies as of now but I hope this changes in the future because other regions like Oceania and South America are suffering too from the lack of console only lobbies. One thing that could potentially solve this whole problem would be a server browser and a lot of us have been asking for it since they saw no server browser in the beta.
