cheating
When are we as the Battlefield community going to address the problem of cheating? Anyone who tries to down play this is either really naive or a cheater.

Because people don’t see superman aimbotting everyone thinks it’s not happening.
There’s plenty of them at it but the games own design makes it easy for them to hide!
@superwes666I've truly never seen a person hacking, at least not in a way after we got the score board that they have 300 kills or something.
That said, I have seen it on older bf titles, just not on this one
Hi @superwes666 ,
Don't think anyone is downplaying that serious subject for any FPS game like BF2042.
Though luckily for us (and unfortunately at the same time) then the BF2042 game has not shown to be very popular at all. Hence we have already less players on this game now than all 3 prior BF games in the franchise still master of player populations today many years after their initial launch, and so the cheating has hardly even taken off much either within the game.
Also due to the lack of any coordinated/organized community or clans for the BF2042 game, there is not really any place either that those cheaters can show off their amazing (cheat) scores. So many of those try-hards have simply not really caught on either to the BF2042 game.
We have also seen/observed the fact that since the player base is already so minuscule, the companies making a living of trading such lousy cheats have even publicly announced that its not even worthwhile for them to get involved in making cheats for this game.
So though sure, many amateur cheats are certain to be at it also in the BF2042 game, it is proportionally less so in BF2042 versus prior games in this franchise.
We also have to give some credit to the "fair play" initiative that EA/DICE launched ahead of the BF2042 game release (Easy Anti-Cheat), and it has also for sure made a dent in the cheater population, as the ones of the most blatant stupid types are caught red-handed even within just a few game rounds, if not even in the first, when they start their immature nonsense. And thx to EA/DICE taking it a bit more serious this time around, any ban here in BF2042 is with global effect across all the games that given account may have purchased.
One thing I do though miss still in BF2042, as we also highlighted as an absolute MUST-HAVE to EA/DICE 1+ year ahead of BF2042 game release was that we absolute must have access to the spectator slot in the BF2042 game and that combined with the game recorder function. As that is matter of fact also the absolute strongest and most direct way any player can observe and report credible information about a cheater player in the game to EA/DICE and other server admins on the game. And this EA/DICE has still not delivered on.
Now there are honestly so many other things that also needs priority fixing by EA/DICE to turn this game around to revive it (if not already past of the point of no return?). But if the player population was to start growing again, then definitely all the anti-cheat measures should be enabled, as that is a default requirement for any online FPS game to be successful. ('Legacy' feature or not...) 👍

Could not agree more.
Only thing I'd add is that I wish we'd all stop using the PR term legacy features.
Core features are missing, their lack is a genuine issue, and PR peeps renaming them in a bid to make them seem less important just adds insult to injury
The only way to combat cheaters is rented servers with player admins.
These companies have shown us they are not going to put forth the real time and money it would take to combat the cheater sites.
and as long as players are willing to pay to make themselves " look " like they are better than they are, the cheat companies arnt going away.
It is best to accept the situation that cheating has become a part of online gaming, and the only thing that determines how much cheaters will be noticed is how much time publishers are willing to spend on clearing this rubbish out of their games. And unfortunately we have not seen how serious EA / Dice really was with AC as it can be said that the game has hardly even been stress tested on this topic, except maybe a little in the beginning when long threads about false bans were created.
Hi
cheating in this game is not as severe as e.g. BF5 - here it is crazy. If it's cheat protect that works or what - I do not know - but before I got my problems fixed with this game - I also thought someone was cheating. In this game you get spotted constantly - solfam, sentry guns, the "dogs" and the sensor nades - this game is very hard to play without getting spotted.
I had severe problems with cpu spikes that would cause me to loose almost all gun fights - I have 6900 xt and 3800 x cpu - and could not figure out what was wrong with this. Then I read something about disable the HPET (high precision event timer) in both bios and in device manager. And ever since my BF 2042 and also BF 5 has run butter smooth - like never before. So it was not BF servers nor my router that had problems - but something like this ??
If you have delay in your own machine / render of graphics then it would appear that they have aimbot as they are faster than you all the time - you see them boom dead instantly.
Give your system an inspection !
