Claymore lasers

Can we please acknowledge that AP mines should not be triggered by lasers beams that end mid air? Please either make the lasers touch the first solid surface or replace them with wire altogether (like in BF4); apart from smoothing of visual aspects it should also clarify some confusion of area protected by the mine to both the owner, as well as very observant enemy, who would be trying to avoid the trap.

@Sulu9 There shouldn’t lasers at all, they should be the way they worked (with wires) in BF4.

Except the claymores in BF3 worked with lasers, BF4's was a worse design IMO making it more difficult to set up and effective defense.

@ragnarok013 I do not question existence of optical triggers - just the way this particular model looks. Lasers beam of noticeable energy would not diffuse this quickly, and therefore should at least continue to first solid surface.
Also there was no laser on claymore in BF3 - it had a classic (mechanical) trigger, but wires were not included in the model. If you want antipersonnel mine with optical trigger use something a bit more modern, like MPIM.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
