Agree, its confusing. But then again it mimics the world that we have now. Just look at this forum...
Yeah I have been reading the bad reactions to the new BF and I must say many things are for the worst in the game. For really strange reasons.
Read up on the Lore & Story of BF2042. there's an entire site from Dice explaining it all. and also ingame radio stations telling you stuff. you are one faction, Non patriated.
