Too many cheats on PC. Wallhacks and aimbots being the most common. PC crossplay brings those cheats into console games.

Well, in my opinion in most cases what console players view as cheating of PC players its not really cheating but superiority of mouse over controller especially in a game like BF where you have long distances. Of course there is a little bit of cheating here and there but you probably would not notice that when controller was as good in aiming as a PC mouse. Plus framerate... at the current time many PCs can do over 120fps in BF2042.
For me if they plan to make it input based matchmaking they need to lock framerate for controller matchmaking to match consoles. Leave it unlocked for mnk matchmaking if majority wants it.

There are low-life cheaters on both platforms, console and PC. I do not know what is being done to stop console cheaters, if anything at all. While it may not be perfect, at least EA has taken steps to stop cheaters on PC. The recent secure boot requirement is just another step in the right direction, although some on PC have complained about it. I'm all for doing whatever it takes to stop cheaters, as long as it doesn't cause the game to run poorly. But let's face it, there have always been cheaters, and there always will be, sadly.
