Console players
Honestly, the aim assist is ridiculous. Xbox players kill me with just 3-5 shots, all the time. It Looks like the shots don't hit them. 90% of my kills are for xbox players. Aim Assist is very strong...
If aim assist is so perfect for console players. Then how come all the players that I am shooting at from medium to close range has to do is run left and right to throw my aim off? The assist is often too slow to keep up with the player speed, and it does not give the player enough time or control to correct it in most situations.
Also console players are always at a disadvantage when engaging targets in groups as the aim assist is usually confused at which enemy to help target. Making the player using aim assist miss them all. So play with your squad and stay close to them and you won't have to worry about console players getting the upper hand.
Sure the assist in BF2042 is better than it was at launch, but it is not even close to being an aimbot.
@TwiitchTV_NEIVFFAhhh the TTV guys, what a bunch of hacks. I watch you guys rack up stupid KD ratios all the time in every game. Interesting how I cant even take 3 steps from spawn most of the time and I take fire from 3 directions. What your clan does is not statistically possible without an advantage. AOD is the second worst group, and then a handful of single players I see doing this all the time. No matter what map or team, they just run around in open space and never get killed. I sometimes get lucky with a decent team and have gotten 4-1 ratios, but most of the time is barely 1-1.
@TwiitchTV_NEIVFFI looked at your stats. Interesting to say the least. You use 2-3 vehicles and only one specialist and rifle the large majority of the time, so I get how you developed proficiency with those. What I cant wrap my head around is the high kill rate. Even if I try to go directly into where the bulk of fighting occurs, as soon as I fire and hit someone, I get killed form the side or behind. There is often no chance to kill and move back to cover. On occasions I will take out 3-4 in a row, but I always get killed shortly after. Most games I only stay in for 2-5 minutes if I am spawning and getting killed immediately without even being able to fire a shot. It takes me about 10 games before I find one where my team doesnt suck so bad and the flow of battle allows me to move without the enemy just hanging around in obscure areas just waiting for someone to walk by, instead of attacking and defending the objectives.
@TwiitchTV_NEIVFFi asked discord friends and they say krag pub stacks so no wonder you starts are high but since krag stopped playing you have been having to solo queue so now you are complaining about aim assist instead of it just being you not getting high kills when teams aren't stacked in your favor.
@TwiitchTV_NEIVFF Again this is a ttk and game performance issue, not console players. Console players experience the same issues you do. The same stuff you've explained. I've had this happen from a pc player and console players alike. Don't understand why you refuse to accept that.
what most of you are describing is lag comp/hit detection/ttk issues not AA.
I’m just glad people are bringing up the fact that something is definitely off because of cross play.
As a PC player, it really does feel like console players are getting some sort of priority. I can plug in a controller, turn the sensitivity to max, and I still can’t replicate how people flip 180 on console. It’s like they’re given more time to react, while being on PC I’m several ticks behind them.
Aim assist is not the whole issue, but it’s definitely part of it. When the game officially released, my console buddies couldn’t miss with the Marksman rifles.
I think the “snap to target” is a huge part of the problem. That’s the hardest part about aiming, I mean that’s what aiming is? If I have a bad position, over extend, I am slow to react, and a console player mows me down. I deserve that. If I’m peeking over the side of a building looking down, the console player eats 4-5 shots, then snaps onto me… then there’s something way off about that.
Like others have said. I’m not a potato. I have nearly a 5 KDR and a complete try hard. I’ve been playing shooters my whole life, and been playing BF since BFBC2.

That’s a big part of it, but you can tell they’re landing some very tricky shots. If I get the jump on you from your side or behind you, even with lag, you shouldn’t be landing any shots on me. I’ve barely won so many 1v1 flights that I clearly had the advantage. Not only did I have better positioning, but I fired first, and landed all my shots. I guess what I’m trying to say is that console players seem to get onto target incredibly fast and accurately.
Is everyone on PC just ignoring the fact that console players experience all these issues too. It's a ttk and performance issues. Why do pc players refuse to accept that it's not aim assist 🤣

Probably becuse these issues got exponentially worse AFTER the patch where they 'fixed" aim-assist.

@RaginSamwhat you're describing is a lag. for you it seems like they snapped to you but in actuality they didn't. I'd like to add, I have the same thing happening to me, and I'm on console. I can also confirm AA doesn't snap to, like people like to think. and it definitely doesn't snap to the head. not to mention how amazingly inconsistent it is. the only time I notice it working is when it pulls me off who I'm shooting cause someone ran behind them, and I die.
It’s not one or the other. It’s both was my point. The first step would be to figure out and fix whatever’s causing the discrepancy in what players are seeing versus what’s actually happening in the server. I agree with that.
Aim assist is still part of the issue though. Even with lag, and let’s say I’m a couple ticks behind the console player, their target acquisition and accuracy is insanely fast. Let’s say they had no assist whatsoever, they wouldn’t touch me with a single bullet if I had the drop on them with better positioning. Even if the server favored them.
I wouldn’t say this problem is exclusive to cross play, but it’s definitely way more noticeable and consistent being killed by console players. When I die to a PC player that seems kinda BS, it’s like okay that was quick, but they had the drop. With console players it has me constantly saying to myself no way! Some PC players are probably low key hacking as well.
@RaginSam Again what you described is a game performance issue, not aim assist. Just because you think they shouldn't have killed you, doesn't mean it's automatically aim assist thats the problem. I've killed plenty of people who have had the drop on me and better positioning than me and it was not because of aim assist. Also just because you think you had the drop on them doesn't mean you actually did. Plus the ttk in this game is very fast, so just because you have better positioning than the person doesnt mean they couldn't connect at least a couple shots since it takes only 1-4 bullets usually to kill. Since you can't see their camera view, or know what they hear or their skill level, or even how good of connection they have, you can't know what completely happened nor can you blame aim assist for it. The problem is PC players want aim assist to just go away completely which would give the majority of pc players an advantage over console players. PC players really need to stop automatically jumping to the conclusion that aim assist is the problem when it's not. Aim assist in BF2042 is awful. It's better than it was but it's still bad.
It's exactly the same with console players accusing PC players of cheating. They get a kill that literally made no sense and seem quite impossible and it's automatically, they had to be cheating when the majority of the time it's not the case.
@ATFGunr But as a player who has played with aim assist and without it, it helps a bit but not that much to give an advantage to console. You claim you are always being killed by console players, well i die way more often to PC players than i do console players. The majority of the player base consist of console players so of course you're gonna get killed by console players more than PC players. But most pc players refuse to even acknowledge what I'm saying. I'm sure there are a lot of pc players you are always call aim assist as the problem but yet they have never actually used a controller and haven't experienced how the aim assist feels on this game. Aim assist is not the issue
