Yea i have not seen many cheaters either.
I remember reading an article about cheat websites refusing to make cheats for Battlefield 2042, because the code was to buggy lol.

There is a very clear disadvantage. But there is no solution for that. Especially now that you are forced to cross play.
Unfortunately you cannot cross play from PS5 and Series X with other console versions.
Try the PS4 version. It usually has a full server.
Maybe they will fix the aim assist for good on the next patch.

no aim assist for console players, buy a PC 😉

Telling players who spent $500 or $900 on a console system to spend $2500 on a PC to play the glorious BF2042 is not a solution.
A few edits on codes would do it, like adjust soldier speed to 0.9x, which I did on my portal server and worked much better.
Either they bring players back to let console players to turn off the cross play to be able to find a match (given that the player based dropped so much that they are forced to turn it on), or they allow cross-generarion play (i.e., PS4 vs PS5, 64-player cap), or they improve the aim assist.
They can also limit things like sensitivity/rotation and add a delay (0.2 s or so) or transition animations on PC only to even things out for actions that take pad players longer to do, like running and stabbing (then input must be fixed). Like BF3 and BF4 wouldn't be so bad as the soldier movement is much slower and there is the suppression mechanics that are not present on BF2042.
The best course of action is to limit sensitivity/rotation, add movement suppression, reduce movement speed overall and fix the aim assist. It takes editing 2 values and changing a few lines of code for the suppression and aim assist.
