Controller acceleration curve

What's going on? Last Monday evening est, it seemed that DICE finally fixed the disgusting response curve on controller. It was linear, responsive, and felt very nice. I would argue it felt comparable to BF1. I went to play tonight and they did something awful, again the day before an update - the controller feels almost just as bad as it did before they fixed it. I knew they would do this. Why is DICE messing with the response curve again? You had it feeling very smooth, don't touch it. Now it feels horrendeous yet again and DICE will most likely just leave it this way. I had to mention something. Back to BF1 until they figure this out. There's no possibility of utilizing muscle memory when they make behind the scenes changes to controller response curve nearly daily for months.

  • Feels strange for sure. Something changed since the ADS Sens Bug. Maybe it has also to do with the inconsistant Netcode. On Reclaimed it works well but on Arica its nearly unplayable. (Series X)

@DonKarnage79 Sensitivity is beng changed behind the scenes nearly daily, and it feels different from server to server. But a change was definitely made a week ago because I never imagined 2042 would feel that good. I played again after this patch and the response curve is literally back to how it always was.

The game is dead enough already, the "development update" was a complete disappointment, and honestly with the controller feeling this bad again, why even play? It's worse now that we know DICE can fix this literally at any moment without pushing an update, and even had it figured out for an entire week, then went and reverted it. Why play, if we know they can, and did, easily fix this. The game feels horrendeous.

Been playing BFV over the last few days and something changed there too.

literally over night, the sensitivities changed and I found myself reconfiguring my settings

  • Controller has felt much better today, even if a little inconsistent at times, and not as good as last week. Call me crazy, but I was playing last night when it seemed that DICE was making live changes again, in the middle of my gunfights. When I made this post, the controller felt like you were dragging the crosshair through mud, so it was a very noticeable change when it happened. I wanted to wait a day to see if the updated curve would stay, and so I did. It still feels like there's acceleration, and as I said it feels inconsistent especially from server to server, but it feels better. I don't understand however why DICE had to undo the change they made a week ago to the response curve. I would argue the way the game felt last week felt better than any Battlefield before - I felt like I had precise control of where I wanted the crosshair to go with no lag (except when shooting, that's a different story). Let's try to get back to how it was last week, but please DICE, do not give us such an accelerated, sluggish, muddy feeling response curve like you did on your Tuesday morning... If you want us to play your game.

I can not believe they have the time to change the sensitivity so often. And like you said sometimes it feels like it changes during a round. Maybe there is another reason for the inconsistencies?

Well I do believe that lag and ping is a factor. But I've never had sensitivity changes in a server until the last couple weeks, which resulted in various differences I have not seen before in this game, controller feeling amazing, then back to *, and now just ok. The times that these changes occur lead me to believe DICE makes the changes to controller nearly as soon as they begin their work day. They also made a statement prior to the updated response curve about doing so, saying something to the effect of, "we have the controller feeling very smooth now". I personally think they tried to implement the updated curve, then tried to update it again, * it up, and had to come up with a fix the next day. DICE: just make it linear. Just do that and leave it alone. Please.

@Agent10_Alex I thought it was only me having it feel off. I had to redo my controller settings after the last patch. This is getting ridiculous by DICE constantly messing around with controller sensitivities.
  • "They" hate us and have infiltrated all aspects of our lives, video games included.
They have messed up my controller more times than I can count.
Takes forever to get it fine tuned again and WACK.
They seem to not want me playing this game or what?

Same reason they won't give us a server browser or at least the same squad map to map, they hate us.
And they surely don't want us talking and forming a community.
We are more powerful than "them".
