Even a squad cannot take it down as it has flare too quickly, too agile, and not even a direct AA hit is enough.It is just * the infanty all day even with a medium-mediocre player... not even talking about a reallly skilled one.Also it can take out and doge most of the vehicles even with AA. And AA btw is pretty much useless for its mail role to shoot down air vehicles, rockets are a joke to lock, easy to aviod, and the gun is useless most of the time.Have you checked the kill/death stat of it?Make it less agile, slower, one AA rocket shall kill it and/ ore remove the flare.

Skill? Skill because you are getting hit by marshmallows from the Wildcat? Skill because you flare and regenerate them in 30sec? Skill because you can actually hid behind cover? Skill because you can dodge Liz's clunky missile? Skill because you can dodge a recoilless or RPG that is shooting a straight heading? Skill because you can flare while being hacked? I think skill is being confused with lack of useful counter weapons to the NB. I sure don't see tanks or other ground vehicles going 100-0 or maybe its because they don't have 600 hours in them.

(I am not talking about edited videos where only success is recorded, nor at hitting blueberries who can barely stay in the air, but pilots like me who will hear/see the thing coming and dodge it)But I suspect they are as real as the unicorns.The thing that cripples the learning curve of Liz the most is how much of the time you spent as liz is spend waiting for that next missile to be ready (which really throws a wrench at the effort to practice).I wish there was a custom practice server without a cooldown on the damned thing

This really.We just had a game and 4 of us were hammering the heli (hack/AA/m5) and no chance.IF we had a hit he was away behind the tower blocks and back in seconds fully healed and flares.The good pilots are untouchable (the player died once as he got carried away and crashed)Why DICE won't attempt to balance them is anyone's guessIn my opinion they are just trolling 99% of the player base. That or they are very bad at their job. Or both, Actually it is clearly both given the absolute state of 2042

The maps are troublesome as well. Too small to employ any creativity in tactics. Every1 knows where their supposed ''counter'' (littlebird can solo Wildcat in this game without much trouble) is most of the time. The maps are that small and confined.
BF2042 air-ground balance is still a trainwreck.

@FollowTheORIA direct hit from tank, recoils or rpg will kill it. Stingers vs flares is a joke. They will never fix this.
Rao hack will force it to launch flares and then stingers need to be ready.
Only stingers is hard. Flares in this game is wrong bigtime !

@FollowTheORI OMG, will you people stop whining about it. It does this and that, i cant do this nor that. People just come out for it for no reason. Look he went 100:0. Like there are no other vehicles that can go 100:0. How about you take it yourself and realize, it takes some learning to do if you want to survive and ace with it. I have 600hours and i am lethal with it, try playing 600 hours with wildcat and then you realize, nb is nothing against it. Try 600 hours with lizz, you realize, nb is nothing against lizz. People that open up here have 200 hours of gaming time at most. It already acts like stiff stone that falls.

@Banester Exactly, you are cutting out all that is manually use. Wildcat shooting mellows? You think bird shoots nukes? And yes skill to flare cause every corner has lockon, taking cover behind objects require some flying.

How about me? I need to think about:

2 wildcats
2 tanks, how close i can approach
Brawlers
Latvs/boltes/hoover
Podhawks (harrypotters with stinger)
Constant lockons
Constant lizz spam
Counter air: jets, helos, gunship
Infantry: lazering lmgs, roch, rpg/m5, alot stinger locks (which constantly shoots out btw), hacks, soflam.

And now people here wants option that every infantry would have option to 1v1 and win it.

Like i said, if you would sit in bird and think that you can avoid all and be skilled, nope you are not. I would like to see you in one when enemy team has proper AA play.

Soflam is overated. We tried it with a friend and unless the pilots got greedy, we might as well have been using stingers for the same effect of repelling but not killing.
The designation icons might be bugged though which definitely does not help communicate to the team that you designated something
I do agree that teams as a whole almost never utilize their full advantage in numbers vs the limited vehicles.
