Yeah bringing that back would be nice, back in BF4 it was already at 75 damage "counts as kill".
It's just fair for doing most of the work.
@RayD_O1 stupid that they removed it at the first place imo, when we also already had it in previous titles.
Otherwise if we won't get it back, at least ass "assists" also count towards a gun's T1 progress. That would be fair too.

Of course, the opposite applies.
Someone else may do most of the damage, but then you get a kill, and not an assist.
