Should be 51% counts as a kill not 75 or 85 as others have suggested. The person that does most damage should get the kill.
Kinda true but in the end it's still the one who actually kills him should get the kill.
But if we would at least go back to the 75 damage "counts as kill" thing what we already had in a previous BF titles would be a good start.

Especially in a game with such high T1 requirements that only count kills and no assists towards it.

Now it's much worse. I hit the enemy with a sniper rifle (about 40 damage), and after his death, they counted me as "spot assist", but they should as "damage assist".@pecmeserp well that's bad. Should be both in that case.
Haven't tested recently, but i rmemeber when i for example shot someone from a helicopter passenger seat, got a hit marker and also spotted him. I got spot & damage assists showing up on my screen as he got killed.
