Creating a character

What about creating our own character in Battlefield 2042?

@DiceUprise One of the rainbow six games let you superimpose your face on the character, the results were creepy at best, nightmare fuel at worst

@ZombieP1ow That kind of feature is fun. I'll need to good that Rainbox Six one for the lolz. One of my friends used to create some really odd fighters in one of the older UFC games 😆

@Fraytnosswould be interesting if they had an almost default character (say like the default guy you get in MW before you unlock any of the other characters) where you could equip any of the unique gadgets (of the operators that you have unlocked) and customize the appearance separately for each the US and Russia.
This could potentially be a good solution for all the players that prefer the 'unnamed solder' class system over the new specialist system, while still maintaining the new system in its entirety...

    Interesting bro 👍

  • While I like the idea, I think it would strain the system and reduce the amount of players a game could handle (or remove the destruction we are promised). While PC or the new consoles would be better able to handle it, there are still limits to what is practical.

  • EA is more concerned with micro transactions than they are pleasing the fan base. We had a certain level of character customization in BFV... We now have these campaign style characters tied to a gadget with back stories. They only reason these so called specialist have gadgets is to incentivize people to spend money. Most people did not buy Elites in BFV because most of them were garbage. Standard edition does not come with specialist. My guess is you can unlock them for free but there will be a certain level of grind while others spend money to get gadgetry. Its essentially a light pay to win and I don't like it.

I like to build my own characters. I like to swap out gadgets without having to change to a rigid premade character. Specialist should be cosmetic only.
