Are you sure that this is correct that old gen consoles can crossplay with each other?
Asking, as EA reps answered "not possible" to this question a few months back. And also provided the reasonable answer as Xbox One and PS4 independently are based on very different chipset and OS design technologies, why it would be very complicated to setup a shared game platform for them to play on the same server. While next gen consoles are made with that in mind from design-birth and therefor also share most of the key networking features and standards with the PC world.
I would personally very much welcome if it was possible to crossplay between Xbox One and PS4, so eager to get this confirmed if true or not please?
DICE Team@CyberDymeWhile the open beta you was able to have "Crossplay" with Xbox Users on the last gen version if I understand your question correctly.
As PS5 user you had of course to run the PS4 version to have "console only crossplay" between PS4 & Xbox One.

(@EA_Atic , I discovered a bug here in the forum editor, as when placing multiple @ names just after each other, even with a comma and space inserted to separate them as in this post, then still the word wrapping does not function when submitting the final text to the forum. So when submitted, all are forced together as one long text-block that refuses to word-wrap to next line)
