Cross-play

Totally agree. 

Its a mystery to me why Dice made the descicion to set cross-play on by default.

I'm afraid this is to consolidate the player base, to keep the game active longer.

The idea is to remove the server browser and implement SBMM, along with of course the larger population on each server amongst other things, to mitigate the lunacy of mixing of input methods.

I play on PC now, but still use a controller - mostly.

Sadly I saw this all coming several year ago.  Business is business.

I would be lying if I said I would not be very happy for more strict, or any? Input based matchmaking but I can only speculate how they approached this all.

Why hasn’t Dice provided an option to use a mouse and keyboard for consoles? PC players can use controllers, should work both ways.

Why is the network compensation so bad? You just never know if you’ll get a server that is extremely laggy or not.

I’m on PC and have ended up playing mostly crossplay off official portal experiences. The connection is way better as is the gameplay itself, unfortunately it’s still a very low population of real players and relies on bots to work. It has its moments but is nowhere near as fun as playing against really people. I’m not sure they’ll ever get crossplay to work right.

Some servers feel normal to me. Then I have some that are laggy and lag in and its a nightmare. I just back out and try to find another game....till it just keeps putting me back in the same match 

I can join a match late and still top the boards as a PlayStation user - Going full Rambo on everyone is super fun, but there are plenty of ways to contribute and make a difference out there.

I really wish we had console-only matching too but, unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely with 2042 so we need to make the best of it, even if you gotta get a little gross with meta weapons and vehicles; make em work for it

i really wish some people like me were actually into using cross play only, i just cannot have any good games rn, i just want to have straight forward games where i can lvl up casually, and not have to struggle with pc people. Better yet, there should be an option to opt in/ out which platforms you want in cross play rather then work with all, or just the one your on, that might make a bit of a difference. Just saying, not to be rude or anything

I fear for the next BF they will just let console players to use m&k not make a console only crossplay. And that would destroy the console experience in BF.
